Overview

This document specifies the safety requirements for rigid organic light emitting diode (OLED) tiles and panels for use on supplies up to 120 V ripple free DC for indoor and similar general lighting purposes. Apart from the general safety requirements for OLED products in accordance with IEC 62686-1, this document deals with the specific safety requirements that are relevant to this type of OLED product. Due to the limited scope of Part 1 of this series of standards, OLED products covered by this document are not intended for use in displays, etcetera. OLED products in accordance with this document are used in interior lighting, for example, when light needs to be uniformly emitted across a surface.
