This part fo IEC 63171 covers two-way, shielded or unshielded, free and fixed connectors for data transmission with frequencies up to 600 MHz and with current carrying capacity up to 2,0 A at 60 °C. It is intended to specify the common dimensions, mechanical, electrical, signal integrity, environmental characteristics, reliability specifications and corresponding tests for these connectors. This document describes the dimensions of the components associated with a connection, the pluggability of the variants, and their installation dimensions. There are no restrictions on the scope of application of the document.
