Overview

This document applies to woven and knitted fabrics, nonwovens, coated fabrics, and embroidered fabrics in which conductive yarns are used. This document specifies the test method and evaluation criteria for determining sheet resistance of conductive fabrics after abrasion. The abrasion test using the Martindale abrasion machine is demonstrated. The electrical properties of conductive textiles can be altered by surface wear, so that abrasion resistance becomes an important property for conductive textiles.
