This part of the series of standards specifies design parameters and values that apply to the design of a light source (LED lamp or LED module) or a related component. This document does not contain complete product specifications, but it does contain important characteristics of the interfaces (such as mechanical, electrical, and optical aspects) that should be taken into account when designing LED light sources and related components. This document categorizes LED light sources. Interchangeability between products from different LED light source manufacturers is not covered in this part. The specifications in this document enable LED lamps and LED modules from different manufacturers to be interchangeable in accordance with IEC 65335-1. This document describes the main dimensions or LED module limits for rectangular LED modules.
