Overview

This document forms the basis for the IEC 63380 series of standards. This part of IEC 63380 contains specifications for the secure information exchange between local energy management systems and electric vehicle charging stations. The local energy management systems communicate to the charging station controllers via the resource manager. This document specifies use cases, the sequences of information exchange and generic data models. The IEC 63380 series of standards does not cover the secure exchange of information between the charging station and the IT backend system(s), such as the management of energy transmission during the charging session or the contract and billing data provided by the IT backend. The use cases in this document include descriptions of scenarios and user stories for using the IEC 63380 series of standards for interested parties, individual technical use cases, and generic use case functions (UCF).
