This part of IEC 62885 is applicable to dry-cleaning robots for household use or under conditions similar to those in households. The purpose of this document is to specify the essential performance characteristics of dry-cleaning robots that are of interest to users and to describe methods for measuring these characteristics. This document is concerned neither with safety requirements nor with performance requirements. The standard differs from DIN EN IEC/ASTM 62885-7 (VDE 0705-2885-7):2023-03 as follows: a) clarification of the scope of the standard; b) alignment of the specification for carpets with IEC 62885-2; c) new Annex D for test materials added. Dry cleaning robots are cleaning robots designed to pick up only non-liquid material from the floor without the use of solutions or liquids. Typical tools include suction air, one or more brushes, dust cloths, and feather dusters.
This document replaces DIN EN IEC/ASTM 62885-7:2023-03; VDE 0705-2885-7:2023-03 .
