Overview
This standard defines terms used in technical product documentation relating to technical drawings, product definitions and related documentation in all fields of application. This standard is based on the terms contained within ISO/TC 10 "Technical product documentation" standards and other documents that are relevant to technical product documentation irrespective of disciplines. The terms have been classified into specific fields of application. This standard contains the trilingual version of the European Standard EN ISO 10209:2012. The underlying International Standard ISO 10209:2012 has been prepared by ISO/TC 10. On the national level, the responsible committee is Working Committee NA 152-06-01 AA "Dokumentationswesen" ("Documentation") at the Fundamental Technical Standards Committee (NATG). This standard supersedes DIN ISO 10209-2:1994-12 and DIN ISO 10209-4:2000-08. The following modifications have been made with respect to DIN ISO 10209-2:1994-12 and DIN ISO 10209-4:2000-08: a) ISO 10209-1, ISO 10209-2 and ISO 10209-4 have been combined; b) the terms and definitions have been updated and classified, new terms and definitions have been incorporated.
