Overview
This standard specifies a method for the determination of the mass per unit area of sheet moulding compound and preimpregnated unidirectional sheet, tape, fabric and mats.
Unless stated to the contrary in the relevant material specification, this standard is applicable to prepregs in which any type of reinforcement (aramid, carbon, glass, etcetera) and any type of matrix (thermosetting or thermoplastic) has been used.
The International Standard ISO 10352 has been prepared by ISO/TC 61/SC 13 "Composites and reinforcement fibres" (secretariat: JISC, Japan). CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN (Belgium), is responsible for the European Standard. On the national level, Working Committee NA 054-02-02 AA "Rieselfähige Duroplaste und langfaserverstärkte Kunststoffe" ("Pourable thermosets and long-fibre-reinforced plastics") of FNK is responsible for the standard.
