This part of DIN EN ISO 105 specifies a method for determining the resistance of the colour of textiles of all kinds and in all forms to domestic or commercial laundering procedures used for normal household textiles, using a reference detergent and a low-temperature bleach activator. The colour loss and staining resulting from desorption and/or abrasive action in one single test closely approximates to one domestic or commercial laundering. This method does not reflect the effect of optical brighteners present in some commercial washing products. This document (EN ISO 105-C08:2010) has been prepared by ISO/TC 38 "Textiles", in collaboration with CEN/TC 248 "Textiles and textile products", the secretariat of which is held by the BSI (United Kingdom). The responsible German Committee is Working Committee NA 062-05-11 AA "Farbechtheit von Textilien - Deutsche Echtheitskommission DEK" ("Colour Fastness of Textiles - German Colour Fastness Committee").
This document replaces DIN EN ISO 105-C08:2008-09 .
