This document is not applicable to microscope accessories, such as photographic equipment and lasers. The responsible committee for this document is ISO/TC 172, Optics and photonics, Subcommittee SC 7, Ophthalmic optics and instruments. The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 027-01-08 AA "Augenoptik" ("Ophthalmic optics"), Working Group "Ophthalmische Instrumente" ("Ophthalmic instruments") at DIN Standards Committee Optics and Precision Mechanics (NAFuO).
