Overview
This standard specifies requirements and gives recommendations for the mechanical design, materials selection, fabrication, inspection, testing and preparation for shipment of spiral plate heat exchangers for the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. This standard is applicable to stand-alone (independent) spiral plate heat exchangers and those heat exchanges integral with a pressure vessel. For Germany Working Committee NA 109-00-01 AA "Materialien, Ausrüstungen und Offshore-Bauwerke für die Erdöl-, petrochemische und Erdgasindustrie - Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 12 und ISO/TC 67" ("Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries - Mirror Committee for CEN/TC 12 and ISO/TC 67") at the Petroleum and Natural Gas Industries Standards Committee (NÖG) at DIN, the German Institute for Standardization e.
