DIN EN ISO 12402-8 specifies the safety requirements and test methods for accessories for personal flotation devices. Amendment A1 to DIN EN ISO 12402-8:2006-05 contains the changed term "emergency light/position indicating light" and associated requirements (clause 5.8) as well as editorial amendments in order to harmonize the text of all 10 parts of DIN EN ISO 12402. The EN ISO 12402 standard series has been prepared by CEN/TC 162 "Protective clothing including hand and arm protection and lifejackets" (secretariat: DIN), in collaboration with ISO/TC 188 "Small craft". The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 112-04-04 AA "Wasserrettungs- und Sicherheitsmittel" ("Lifesaving in water and safety equipment") at DIN.
