This document (EN ISO 12813:2024) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 204 "Intelligent Transport Systems" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 278 "Intelligent transport systems" the secretariat of which is held by NEN (Netherlands). The responsible German standardization committee is Joint Working Committee NA 052-00-71 GA "Gemeinschaftsarbeitsausschuss NAAutomobil/DKE: Intelligente Verkehrssysteme" ("Joint working committee NAAutomobil/DKE: Intelligent Transport Systems") at DIN Standards Committee Road Vehicles and Mobility (NAAutomobil). On-board equipment (OBE) working with satellite positioning to collect data required for charging for the use of roads operates in an autonomous way with respect to the road-side infrastructure. Thereby, the OBE records the distance driven in a toll domain. This document defines requirements for DSRC (dedicated short-range communication) between OBE and an interrogator for the purpose of checking compliance of road use with a local toll regime. It is based on an electronic fee collection services architecture according to ISO 17573-1.
This document replaces DIN EN ISO 12813:2020-03 .
