Overview
This standard specifies a method of test for the slip resistance of footwear which belong to Personal Protective Equipment (PPA). It is not applicable to special purpose footwear containing spikes, metal studs or similar. For product development purposes, sole units or soling components such as top pieces may be tested. This standard is a test standard and deals in particular with aspects of product safety. The committee responsible for this standard is Working Committee NA 095-04-01 AA "Fuß- und Beinschutz" ("Foot and leg protectors") of the Personal Protective Equipment Standards Committee (NPS) at DIN.
