The International Standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 106/SC 4/WG 8 "Dental hand instruments" (secretariat: ANSI, USA), in collaboration with CEN/TC 55 "Dentistry" (secretariat: DIN). At DIN the responsible Working Committee is NA 014-00-23 AA "Dentalmedizinische Instrumente" ("Dental medical instruments") of NADENT. The designs and dimensions for Jacquette scalers as well as terms, symbols, designations of surfaces and angles, and the measuring points are specified in this standard.
