Overview
This International Standard specifies requirements and recommendations for the design, materials, fabrication, inspection, testing and preparation for shipment of air-cooled heat exchangers for use in the petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries. This International Standard is applicable to air-cooled heat exchangers with horizontal bundles, but the basic concepts can also be applied to other configurations. For Germany, Committee NA 109-00-01 AA "Materialien, Ausrüstungen und Offshore-Bauwerke für die Erdöl-, petrochemische und Erdgasindustrie - Spiegelausschuss zu CEN/TC 12 und ISO/TC 67" ("Materials, equipment and offshore structures for petroleum, petrochemical and natural gas industries - Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 12 and ISO/TC 67") at DIN, the German Institute for Standardisation e. V., has collaborated.
