Overview
This International Standard applies for fluxes for submerged arc welding and electroslag welding using wire electrodes, tubular cored electrodes, and strip electrodes for joining and overlay welding of non-alloy and fine grain steels, high-strength steels, creep-resisting steels, stainless and heat-resisting steels, and nickel and nickel alloys. The standard replaces DIN EN 760:1996-05 "Welding consumables - Fluxes for submerged arc welding - Classification"; German version EN 760:1996). The responsible German standardization committee is Joint Committee NA 092-00-03 AA "Schweißzusätze (DVS AG W 5)" ("Welding consumables (DVS AG W 5)") at NAS.
