DIN EN ISO 14246 describes the procedures and acceptance criteria (sometimes also called initial inspection) for manufacturing testing and examination of cylinder valves that have been manufactured to achieve type approval. It is applicable to cylinder valves according to DIN EN ISO 10297. The principles of these tests and examinations can be beneficially applied to cylinder valves type tested to national or International Standards other than DIN EN ISO 10297.
