This standard specifies the characteristics of hexalobular socket head cap screws, with thread sizes from M2 up to and including M20, of product grade A. In the new edition of this standard, the dates from the normative references have been eliminated in order to allow, beyond doubt, the application of each current version of a standard to which reference is made. This document (EN ISO 14579:2011) has been prepared by ISO/TC 2 "Fasteners", in collaboration with CEN/TC 185 "Fasteners" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 067-00-02 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Außengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric external threads") of the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV).
