This part of ISO 15236 specifies the performance and constructional requirements applicable to conveyor belts having steel cords in the longitudinal direction as reinforcement. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 41 "Pulleys and belts (including veebelts)" (secretariat: SAC, China), SC 3 "Conveyor belts" (twin secretariat: SAC, China and JISC, Japan) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted as EN ISO 15236-1:2016 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 188 "Conveyor belts", the secretariat of which is held by SNV (Switzerland). The responsible national committee is NA 045-02-05 AA "Fördergurte" ("Conveyor belts"), DIN Standards Committee Elastomer Technology (NET).
