Overview
This International Standard specifies the requirements and test methods for solid flat compression-moulded sheets of polyethylene (PE-UHMW and PE-HD, see ISO 1043-1) without fillers or reinforcing materials. It applies only to thicknesses from 10 mm to 200 mm. This second edition replaces the first edition (ISO 15527:2007) which has been slightly revised (the requirements for abrasion properties provided in Table 2 have been modified and in 5.9.2 ISO 1791 has replaced ISO 11542-2 for the determination of the Charpy impact strength). The text of ISO 15527:2010 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 "Plastics" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted as EN ISO 15527:2013 by Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN (Belgium). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 054-04-02 AA "Halbzeuge aus Thermoplasten" ("Semi-finished thermoplastic products") of the Plastics Standards Committee (FNK) at DIN.
