Overview
This International Standard specifies the preparation and assessment of fillet weld test pieces for conformity assessment of positional usability and root penetration requirements for consumables classification standards for welding non-alloy and fine grain steels, low alloy steels, stainless steels, and nickel base alloys. With respect to the previous edition, Figure 2 has been corrected. EN ISO 15792-3:2011 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 44 "Welding and allied process", in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 121 "Welding" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 092-00-03 AA "Schweißzusätze (DVS AG W 5)" ("Welding consumables (DVS AG W 5)") at the Welding Standards Committee (NAS).
