This document specifies the general information needed for the design type testing of packagings, intermediate bulk containers (IBC) and large packagings intended for use in the transport of dangerous goods. The document (EN ISO 16495:2013) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 122 "Packaging" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC "Packaging", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR. The responsible German committee is NA 115-01-06 "Gefahrgutverpackungen" ("Packaging of dangerous goods") at the Packaging Standards Committee (NAVp).
