This document (EN ISO 16946:2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee CEN/TC 138 "Non-destructive testing", the secretariat of which is held by AFNOR (France), in collaboration with Technical Committee ISO/TC 135 "Non-destructive testing". The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 062-08-23 AA "Ultraschallprüfung" ("Ultrasonic testing") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP). This document specifies the requirements (dimensions, material, and manufacture) of a step wedge steel block for the calibration of ultrasonic instruments.
