Overview

This document specifies electric safety requirements for the line connection of electrically propelled road vehicles to an external power source. This standard is applicable to vehicles of categories L6 and L7 according to ECE regulation. This standard does not exclude Class II solutions. It does not apply to motorcycles and vehicles that are not primarily intended for use on public roads, such as forklift trucks. No information is provided for manufacturers and maintenance personnel. Requirements for cases where the vehicle is not connected to the power supply are contained in ISO 6469-3.
