This International Standard specifies the compositional ranges of a series of filler metals used for brazing. The filler metals are divided into seven classes, related to their composition, but not necessarily to the major element present. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 092-00-26 AA "Hartlöten" (DVS AG V 6.1) ("Brazing" (DVS AG V 6.1)) at DIN Standards Committee Welding and allied processes (NAS).
