Overview
This document specifies a method for the determination of the thermal stability at elevated temperature of compounds and products based on vinyl chloride homopolymers and copolymers (in the following text abbreviated as PVC) which undergo dehydrochlorination (the evolution of hydrogen chloride). The method can be used for quality control during the production and conversion of PVC molding compounds. The committee responsible for this document is NA 054-02-10 AA "Thermoplast-Formmassen" ("Thermoplastic materials") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK).
Please get in touch with the relevant contact person at DIN if you have problems understanding the content of the standard or need advice on how to apply it.
