This part of the standard specifies the methods of preparation of test specimens and the test methods to be used in determining the properties of polyamide moulding and extrusion materials. Requirements for handling test material and for conditioning both the test material before moulding and the specimens before testing are also given. The Amendment is intended to adopt clause 2 "Normative references", change the first paragraph of 3.2 and incorporate a new clause "Laser sintering" (3.3), and incorporate a normative Annex A "Specimen preparation using laser sintering". The International Standard ISO 1874-2:2010 has been prepared by ISO/TC 61/SC 9 "Thermoplastic materials" (secretariat: ANSI, USA). CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN, is responsible for the European Standard. On the national level, the Committee responsible for this standard is NA 054-02-07 AA "Polyamid-Formmassen" ("Polyamides") at DIN.
