Overview
This document specifies a method for the determination of the inhibition of the growth of the first fronds of Spirodela polyrhiza germinated from turions, by substances and mixtures contained in water or waste water, including treated municipal waste water and industrial effluents. The test is also applicable to pure chemicals and in particular, plant protection products and pesticides. This document (EN ISO 20227.2017) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 147 "Water quality" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 230 "Water analysis", the secretariat of which is held by DIN (Germany). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 119-01-03 AA "Wasseruntersuchung" ("Water quality") at DIN Standards Committee Water Practice (NAW).
