DIN EN ISO 2078 specifies a system of designating textile glass yarns (including single, multiple-wound, folded (plied), cabled and textured yarns, strands, slivers and rovings) based on their linear density expressed in the tex system. Amendment 1 includes a revised Table 1 with modified general indications for the glass to be used. This document (EN ISO 2078:1993 + A1:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 61 "Plastics" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 249 "Plastics", the secretariat of which is held by NBN. The responsible national standards committee is Working Committee NA 054-02-02 AA "Verstärkte Kunststoffe und härtbare Harze" ("Reinforced plastics and thermosetting materials") at DIN Standards Committee Plastics (FNK).
