Overview

This standard specifies a method for the determination of the water soluble contents for outsoles, insoles, lining and insocks. It supersedes DIN EN 12748:1999. In particular, the temperature of the muffle oven has been re-specified. The test standard addresses the shoe manufacturers, shoe stores, suppliers and independent test laboratories. At DIN the responsible Committee is NA 062-04-52 AA "Schuhe" ("Footwear").
