Overview

This document applies to situations in which such data is recorded on or transported by patient healthcards compliant with the physical dimensions of ID-1 cards defined by ISO/IEC 7810. This document specifies the basic structure of the data contained within the medication data object, but does not specify or mandate particular data sets for storage on devices. In addition to editorial revisions and updates, the standard differs from the previous version from 2017 in that several errors in the tables have been corrected. The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 176-02-03 AA "Terminologie" ("Terminology") at DIN Standards Committee Health Technologies (NAGesuTech).
