This Standard specifies the requirements for the verification of performance and energy consumption of blast cabinets for professional use in commercial kitchens, hospitals, canteens, institutional catering and similar professional areas. The appliances covered by this Standard are intended to rapidly cool down hot foodstuffs up to a load capacity of 300 kg. This standard differs from DIN EN ISO 22042:2022-11 as follows: a) Annex ZA has been revised; b) the term 3.10 "test load" has been included in Clause 3; c) subclause 4.1 has been revised; d) the new subclause 4.3 "Reference time of test food" has been added; e) the third sentence of subclause 5.4 has been formulated as a requirement; f) in subclause 5.5, fourth indent "Genauigkeit von ± 1 %" (accuracy of ± 1 %) has been replaced with "Genauigkeit von mindestens 1 %" (accuracy of at least 1 %); g) in subclause 5.6.4, limits for the deviation of the test load from the full load capacity have been supplemented; h) subclause 5.7 has been revised; i) in Clause 6, the last two paragraphs have been revised; j) the title of Clause 7 has been changed to "Information report", and "to be declared" has been removed in the first sentence; k) the title of Table 2 has been modified; l) the Bibliography has been deleted; m) the document has been editorially revised. This document (EN ISO 22042:2021 + A1:2024) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 86 "Refrigeration and air-conditioning" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 44 "Commercial and professional refrigerating appliances and systems, performance and energy consumption", the secretariat of which is held by UNI (Italy). The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 044-00-07 AA "Gewerbe- und Verkaufskühlmöbel" ("Refrigerated commercial and display cabinets") at DIN Standards Committee Refrigeration Technology (FNKä).
