Overview

This standard contains a set of requirements for setting up and managing the Business Continuity Management System. These requirements were prepared in ISO/TC 223 Societal Security. The Draft International Standard was adopted into the European body of standards in the UAP procedure without any amendment. Requirements are specified in order to plan, establish, implement, operate, monitor, review, maintain and continually improve a documented management system to protect against, reduce the likelihood of occurrence, prepare for, respond to, and recover from disruptive incidents when they arise. The body responsible for this standard is NA 031-05 FBR "Fachbereichsausschuss Sicherheit und Schutz des Gemeinwesens - SpA zu ISO/TC 223 Societal security" ("Steering Committee of the Section Societal Security - Mirror Committee to ISO/TC 223 Societal security") at DIN.
