Overview
This International Standard specifies methods to calculate design thermal conductivities from declared thermal conductivities for the calculation of the thermal performance of building equipment and industrial installations. The following modifications have been made with regard to DIN EN ISO 23993:2008-05: a) Table 4 has been supplemented; b) Clause 7.9.2.2 "Spacers for sheet metal jackets for walls" has been supplemented by a formula for clarification of the relation between Δλ and Δλsq; c) headlines have been added in Annex B. These methods are valid for operating temperatures from -200 °C to +800 °C. The conversion factors, established for the different influences, are valid for the temperature ranges indicated in the relevant clauses or annexes. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 005-56-10 AA "Dämmarbeiten an technischen Anlagen" ("Insulation work on technical equipment") at DIN.
