Overview
This hose product standard for dredging applications specifies requirements for various hose types, classes and grades. These hoses are suitable for the delivery or suction of deliverable materials with a specific gravity in the range from 1,0 to 2,3 in seawater or fresh water. Hoses used purely for delivery can be constructed so that they are capable of floating. They can be applied at ambient temperatures from -10 °C to +40 °C. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45/SC 1 "Hoses" of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies". The responsible national standards committee is NA 045-02-12 AA "Schläuche" ("Hoses") at the Rubber Technology Standards Committee (FAKAU).
