This part of ISO 2811 specifies a method for determining the density of paints, varnishes and related products, using balls or other round bodies as immersion bodies (plummets). The method is limited to materials of low or medium viscosity, and is particularly suitable for production control. The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 002-00-07 AA "Allgemeine Prüfverfahren für Beschichtungsstoffe und Beschichtungen" ("General test methods for coating materials and coatings") at DIN.
