DIN EN ISO 3098-1:2015-06

This part of ISO 3098 specifies the general requirements for lettering, in accordance with the other parts of ISO 3098, to be used in technical product documentation (in particular on technical drawings). It includes basic conventions as well as rules for the application of lettering using the following techniques: a) free-hand lettering (by means of an underlaid "grid"); b) templates and manual lettering instruments; c) dry transfer systems; d) numerically controlled lettering and draughting systems. This document contains the German version of the International Standard ISO 3098-1:2015 and the European Standard EN ISO 3098-1:2015. The responsible national standards committee is Working Committee NA 152-06-01 AA "Dokumentationswesen" ("Documentation") of the DIN Standards Committee Technical Fundamentals (NATG). This standard differs from DIN EN ISO 3098-0:1998-04 as follows: a) the number of the standard has been changed from DIN EN ISO 3098-0 to DIN EN ISO 3098-1; b) the Bibliography has been updated; c) the standard has been editorially revised.
