Overview
With this standard the worldwide valid vocabulary ISO 4007 has been updated after more than thirty years and simultaneously significantly expanded in the field of eye protection, particularly the terms and definitions from EN 165 "Personal protection - Vocabulary" as well as the German version. Simultaneously, the terms have been harmonized with the quadrilingual new edition of ISO 13666 "Ophthalmic optics - Spectacle lenses - Vocabulary". The standard EN ISO 4007 has been prepared by ISO/TC 94/SC 6 "Eye and face protection" in collaboration with CEN/TC 85 "Eye protective equipment". On the national level the committee responsible for this standard is NA 027-01-01 AA "Augenschutz" ("Eye protection") at DIN.
