Overview
This document (EN ISO 4404-2:2010) contains the German translation of the International document ISO 4404-2:2010 which has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 28 "Petroleum products and lubricants", the secretariat of which is held by ANSI (USA), in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 19 "Gaseous and liquid fuels, lubricants and related products of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin".
The responsible German Committee is NA 062-06-81 AA, Mirror Committee of CEN/TC 19 "Gaseous and liquid fuels, lubricants and related products of petroleum, synthetic and biological origin" of the Petroleum, Fuels, Lubricants and Related Products Standardization Committee (FAM) of NMP.
ISO 4402-2 specifies a procedure for the determination of the corrosion-inhibiting properties of non-aqueous hydraulic fluids within the category HFD, as classified in ISO 6743-4. The test procedure provides a qualitative assessment of corrosion of five of the most common metals used in the construction of hydraulic systems. Other metals and/or alloys can, however, be added or substituted for these metals for particular installations.
The determination of corrosion resistance of aqueous hydraulic fluids within categories HFA, HFB and HFC is described in ISO 4404-1.
