DIN EN ISO 4490:2014-11

This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 119 "Powder metallurgy" (secretariat: SIS, Sweden), in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/SS M11 "Powder metallurgy" (secretariat: CCMC). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 145-01-02 AA "Probenahme und Prüfverfahren für Pulver (einschließlich Pulver für Hartmetalle)" ("Sampling and testing methods for powders (including powders for hardmetals)") of the Standards Committee Technology of Materials (NWT) at DIN. This International Standard specifies a method for determining the flow rate of metallic powders, including powders for hard metals, by means of a calibrated funnel (Hall flowmeter). The method is applicable only to powders which flow freely through the specified test orifice of the funnel. This standard differs from DIN EN ISO 4490:2009-02 as follows: a) in the German version, the term "Durchflussdauer" has been replaced by "Durchflussrate" (flow rate); b) in 3.1, a NOTE has been added; c) the term "stopwatch" has been replaced by "timing device"; d) Figure 1 has been modified so as to be linguistically neutral; e) the standard has been editorially revised.
