DIN EN ISO 4619:2011-02

This standard specifies the requirements and the corresponding test methods for driers for paints, varnishes and similar products. The requirements relate to driers in solid or liquid form. The methods described in this standard are intended to be carried out by chemists or appropriately trained and/or supervised personnel. The substances and procedures used in this method may be injurious to health if suitable precautions are not taken. This standard refers only to its technical suitability and does not absolve the user from statutory obligations relating to health and safety. Attention is particularly drawn to the health hazards of heavy metals which may be a constituent of driers (for instance, cobalt, lead, cerium, zirconium, vanadium). The Committee responsible for this standard is NA 002-00-02 AA "Lackrohstoffe" ("Raw materials for paints and varnishes") at DIN.
