Overview
This standard specifies the characteristics of slotted set screws with flat point and thread sizes from M1,2 to M12 inclusive and product grade A. With respect to the previous edition, in addition to the editorial revision, the specifications regarding the finish have been concretised by supplementing non-electrolytically applied zinc flake coatings and passivation. This document (EN ISO 4766:2011) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 2 "Fasteners", in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 185 "Fasteners" (secretariat: DIN, Germany). The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 067-00-02 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Außengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric external threads") of the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV).
