DIN EN ISO 7040:2013-04

This International Standard specifies the characteristics of prevailing torque type hexagon regular nuts (with non-metallic insert), with threads from M3 up to and including M36, in product grade A for threads up to and including M16 and product grade B for threads above M16, and with property classes 5, 8 and 10. In this revised version the normative references are now undated in order to facilitate the unequivocal use of each currently applicable version of a standard. Moreover, the content of the standard has been brought in line with the revised ISO 898-2. This standard is identical to the European Standard EN ISO 7040:2012 in which the International Standard ISO 7040:2012 was adopted without any modifications. This standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 2 "Fasteners" in collaboration with CEN/TC 185 "Fasteners", both secretariats of which are held by DIN. The responsible German standardization committee is Working Committee NA 067-00-03 AA "Verbindungselemente mit metrischem Innengewinde" ("Fasteners with metric internal thread") of the Fasteners Standards Committee (FMV) at DIN.
