Overview
This part of ISO 7500 specifies the calibration and verification of tension/compression testing machines. The verification consists of: - a general inspection of the testing machine, including its accessories for the force application; - a calibration of the force-measuring system of the testing machine. This document (EN ISO 7500-1:2015) has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 164 "Mechanical testing of metals" (secretariat: AFNOR, France) and adopted by ECISS/TC 101 "Test methods for steel (other than chemical analysis)" in accordance with the Vienna Agreement. The responsible German committee is Working Committee NA 062-08-11 AA "Werkstoffprüfmaschinen" ("Materials testing machines") at DIN Standards Committee Materials Testing (NMP).
