Overview
ISO 80000-9 gives names, symbols, and definitions for quantities and units of physical chemistry and molecular physics. Where appropriate, conversion factors are also given. The first edition of ISO 80000-9 cancels and replaces ISO 31-8:1992. It also contains the amendment ISO 31-8:1992/Amd. 1:1998. An Amendment 1 was published additionally to ISO 80000-9:2009 in 2011. The text of ISO 80000-9:2009+Amd. 1:2011 has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 12 "Quantities and units" (secretariat: SIS, Sweden) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted as EN ISO 80000-9:2013 by the CEN Technical Board (BT). Working Group NA 152-01-09-01 AK "Physikalische Chemie und Molekularphysik" ("Physical chemistry and molecular physics") is responsible on the national level.
