Overview
This test standard on rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and rubber products" (secretariat: DSM, Malaysia), SC 1 "Hoses" (secretariat: DSM, Malaysia) of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and has been adopted by Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies". The responsible national Standards Committee is NA 045-02-12 AA "Schläuche" ("Hoses") of Rubber Technology Standards Committee (FAKAU). This International Standard specifies electrical test methods for rubber and plastics hoses with or without reinforcement and hose assemblies to determine the resistance of conductive, antistatic and non-conductive hoses and the electrical continuity or discontinuity between metal end fittings. All the test methods described for rubber hoses in this International Standard can also be applied to plastics hoses.
