Overview
This test standard for hoses and tubing with and without reinforcement specifies two methods for determining the transmission of liquids through hose and tubing walls. Both methods are applied to rubber and plastic hoses with and without reinforcement. This document has been prepared by Technical Committee ISO/TC 45 "Rubber and rubber products" in collaboration with Technical Committee CEN/TC 218 "Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies". The responsible national standardization committee is Working Committee NA 045-02-12 AA "Gummi- und Kunststoffschläuche sowie Schlauchleitungen (Spiegelgremium zu CEN/TC 218, ISO/TC 45/SC 1)" ("Rubber and plastics hoses and hose assemblies (national mirror committee for CEN/TC 218, ISO/TC 45/SC 1)") at DIN Standards Committee Rubber Technology (FAKAU).
