Overview
This standard is identical to ISO 9015-1:2001. It specifies hardness tests on transverse sections of arc welded joints of metallic materials. It covers Vickers hardness tests in accordance with ISO 6507-1, normally with test loads of 49 N or 98 N (HV 5 or HV 10). The preparation of the test specimens and the test procedure with detailed examples of hardness indentations in the form of rows of indentations and individual indentations are specified. The content has not been modified with respect to DIN EN 1043-1:1996-02. The responsible German Joint Working Committee is NA 092-00-05 GA "Joint Working Committee NAS/NMP: Zerstörende Prüfung von Schweißverbindungen (DVS AG Q 4)" ("NAS/NMP: Destructive tests of welds (DVS AG Q 4)").
