DIN EN ISO 9873:2017-08

The standard specifies requirements and test methods for reusable intra-oral mirrors with a coated glass reflecting surface used for dental purposes in the oral cavity. In addition, specific requirements for metallic casing and metallic handles are given. This International Standard has been prepared by ISO/TC 106/SC 4/WG 8 "Dental hand instruments" (secretariat: ANSI, USA), in collaboration with CEN/TC 55 "Dentistry" (secretariat: DIN). At DIN the responsible Working Committee is NA 014-00-23 AA "Dentalmedizinische Instrumente" ("Dental medical instruments") of NADENT. The standard specifies requirements and test methods for the materials used, the maximum permissible overall length, surface polishing and resistance to reprocessing. The required information for marking (for example, lot number) is also specified.
